About this role
Members of Technical Staff build the systems behind Earthian's inference-native risk models—from data pipelines and evaluation harnesses to production APIs on Earthian Hub. This role spans data engineering, model work, and platform delivery for climate, NatCat, geopolitical, technology, and cyber risk domains.
What you'll do
• Design and ship data pipelines for geospatial, financial, and regulatory datasets
• Train, evaluate, and deploy small risk language models with rigorous benchmarking
• Build reliable APIs and workflows used by institutional customers
• Partner with research and GTM on product requirements and customer deployments
• Improve observability, testing, and model governance across the stack
What we're looking for
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience shipping production systems
• Hands-on experience with ML, data engineering, or applied research
• Comfort working across Python, cloud infrastructure, and modern ML tooling
• Interest in financial risk, insurance, or capital markets (prior domain experience is a plus)
• Clear written communication and ownership mindset
